Speaking for churches and groups
Practical, honest and from my own experience. Throughout the Netherlands, from Elburg.
I speak in church services, at small-group evenings, men's evenings and workshops. Not as a pastor or expert, but as someone who has experienced it himself: God spoke when I could not go on. I speak honestly, keep it practical and let the Bible be the foundation.
Themes
A few themes I often speak about. Your own theme or a combination is also possible.
- Hearing God's voice in everyday life
- How does God speak today? Through the Bible, people, circumstances, an impression or a dream. About learning to listen, without making it vague or complicated. John 10:27
Suitable for: Church service, small-group evening, church evening - Is this from God? Testing impressions
- A practical evening or workshop: how do you test an impression, dream or image against the Bible, and what do you do with it? With practice in small groups. 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Suitable for: Workshop, small group, equipping evening - There is something worth living for
- My own story: from the low point in 2001 to the voice I heard at midnight, and what changed afterwards. Honest, also about the struggle. Psalm 40:1-3
Suitable for: Church service, outreach evening, young people - Being a man and father from your identity
- About who you are before you achieve anything, and how you lead from there in your family, your work and your friendships. With honest questions to talk through together. Mark 1:11
Suitable for: Men's evening, men's weekend, fathers' group - Leadership that serves
- For those who lead in a church, small group or team: leading from rest and identity, with healthy boundaries and a serving heart. Mark 10:43-45
Suitable for: Small-group leaders, elders, leadership day

For the programme
A short and a longer introduction you may use in a programme, newsletter or announcement.
Short introduction
Wim Kamphorst from Elburg is the founder of Stichting (F)Luister Nederland, which helps people hear God's voice in their everyday lives. He wrote In de Schuilplaats, his own story, and speaks practically and honestly from what he has experienced himself.
Longer introduction
Wim Kamphorst lives in Elburg in the Netherlands. In 2001 he could no longer see a way forward in life. Exactly at midnight as 2001 turned into 2002, he heard a voice: "Wim, there is something worth living for." He chose to follow Jesus, and God's voice became the thread running through his life. Out of that story came Stichting (F)Luister Nederland, with a free magazine, an online platform, books and gatherings. Wim wrote the booklet In de Schuilplaats (2022, in Dutch), offers walk-and-talk coaching and speaks in churches, small groups and at men's evenings. He is not a pastor or expert, but someone who has experienced it himself: honest, practical and with the Bible as the foundation.
