A reflection test for men and fathers
As a man. Choose what you usually do, not what you would like to do. Other version
True identity and courage
Insight
Inner strength grows when your worth no longer depends on success or approval. A child of the King does not have to earn his crown. 1 Peter 2:9
Vulnerability is not weakness, it actually takes courage. It is the foundation under real friendship. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Taking rest is not a lack of commitment. Jesus too took his disciples to a quiet place to rest. Mark 6:31
Connection and honour
Someone else can hurt you, but how you react remains your responsibility. Whoever rules his own temper is stronger than whoever takes a city. Proverbs 16:32
Healthy boundaries do not shut people out, they protect the relationship. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Matthew 5:37
Speaking honestly in love is a form of honour. Staying silent for the sake of peace rarely keeps the peace. Ephesians 4:15, Matthew 18:15
Vision and legacy
A legacy is not about what you own, but about the values you pass on to the next generation. Psalm 78:4-7
Vision means holding on to what is true, especially when things become uncertain. Abraham left without knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8
Stewardship means: what you received is entrusted to you, not owned by you. Faithfulness in small things opens the door to more. Matthew 25:21
Leadership multiplies. Paul passed things on to Timothy, so that he could pass them on to others again. 2 Timothy 2:2
